General description of the collection: The Nick Hociota papers include Hociota's autobiography, 1891-1920, emphasizing service with the American Expeditionary Force - Siberia during the Russian Revolution; his 1968 reminiscence of service in Siberia; and three photographs (taken in 1914) of the 2nd Division's camp at Texas City, Texas where he served from 1912-1915. The collection also includes a 1942 printed roster of veterans of Siberian service; copies of the veterans' association bulletin for 1968 and 1969; and fourteen items pertaining to the association's 50th anniversary in Los Angeles in October 1968, many of them wartime correspondence or memoirs of other veterans of the Siberian operation.
